The Nova Corps Headquarters is the main Nova Corps facility, located on Xandar.
History
Nova Corps warroom
In her office, Nova Prime Irani Rael appealed to the Kree Ambassador to condemn the actions of the Kree radical Ronan the Accuser, who had been massacring Xandarian outposts across the galaxy. The Ambassador refused to help, saying that he had more pressing matters to attend to. Denarian Garthan Saal then approached her and informed her that they had arrested one of Ronan's comrades, Gamora.
Several days later Star-Lord contacted Rhomann Dey and informed him of the Guardians of the Galaxy's plan to stop Ronan from destroying Xandar with the Orb acquired on Knowhere. Once he reached the Headquarters, Dey informed Rael of the message and gave his opinion that Star-Lord was sincere in his wish to help. The Nova Corps sent a fleet to aid the Guardians and the Ravagers.
A great battle took place in which the Nova Corps suffered heavy losses, but Ronan was killed and his army was defeated. The Guardians traveled to the Headquarters where Rael thanked them for saving Xandar. They gave Rael the Orb to keep it out of the wrong hands, and she locked it away to ensure this.[1]
Four years later, however, Thanos initiated his own quest to obtain the Infinity Stones. He invaded Xandar, killing half of the planet's population, before infiltrating the Headquarters to obtain the Orb.[2]
