Lindmore's face gets removed by Chronicoms
In an alternate 1955, while working at Area 51, Niles Lindmore was instructed to give Daniel Sousa a briefcase containing a groundbreaking S.H.I.E.L.D. device, which Sousa would then pass on to Howard Stark.[2] However, he was murdered in his home by the Chronicom Hunters, who used the Eraser to steal his face and infiltrate the base with his identity, as they wished to activate Project Helius.[1] As a result of his premature death, he was unable to deliver the device to Sousa, although S.H.I.E.L.D. from an alternate future obtained the device from his home and gave it to Sousa.[2]
