Nico Minoru was a recreation of the real Nico Minoru in the Healing Algorithm, generated from Chase Stein and Karolina Dean's fantasies.

Biography

Chase Stein's Illusion

In Chase Stein's healing algorithm, PRIDE attacked the Hostel, setting it up in flames as they took sacrifices. Minoru was no match for them as she was quickly knocked out next to Karolina Dean.

This version of Nico Minoru was generated by the Healing Algorithm by tapping into Karolina Dean's fantasy after she was imprisoned in it. In this simulation, Minoru and Dean got married during a peaceful ceremony officiated by Dean's mother, in presence of the other Runaways.

However, the simulation was disrupted by the arrival of the Magistrate's Wife, who brutally pushed back Minoru as she was dancing with Dean to confront her. Once the Wife had learned that Dean was actually the Magistrate's daughter, Minoru became a victim of the Wife's jealousy, as she simply caused her to disappear.

Minoru later reappeared in the simulation in pretty bad shape, next to a tree, and was found by Dean who comforted her as Minoru explained that she felt weak and cold. However, when the Magistrate arrived in turn in the simulation, he also briefly caused Minoru to disappear so he could talk with Dean, before making her reappear as they were finished.

Minoru then spent her last moments with Dean, asking her why her bride looked so sad if Minoru was not even real to begin with, to which Dean feared that she would never be able to be with the real Minoru again. Minoru then slowly died in Dean's arms, moments before Dean was found by Chase and Janet Stein, who were also trapped in the Algorithm and urged Dean to join them. Although initially reluctant to abandon the recreated Minoru, Dean eventually left her.
