Sir Nick Fury served the Asgardian Royal Family as a knight. When rifts began to open that caused the reality to collapse in on itself, Fury banded together with Queen Hela, Prince Thor, and Scarlet Witch to summon Captain Carter, a hero from another universe to help them.[3] Fury questioned whether Carter would be able to save their Queen, but Scarlet Witch stated that Carter would save their entire world.[2]

A few weeks later, another rift opened up, so Fury deployed Carter, however, Hela was sucked up by it and killed, leading Thor to become the king. Thor turned on Carter and hunted her, but Fury and Scarlet Witch secretly aided her. Fury and Harold Hogan reported to Thor about the rifts, and Scarlet Witch revealed that they were caused by a Forerunner from another time. Unable to locate the Forerunner, Fury, who was aware Carter was listening in, told her she needed to track them down.

Fury attended a court session, but another rift opened up. A fight broke out between Thor and band of warriors that were working with Carter, so Fury betrayed his king after Scarlet Witch told him to steal the Scepter, which he gave to Tony Stark. Using the Time Stone from the Sceptre, they were able to identify the Forerunner, which was Rogers Hood, who was sent back to his time, saving their world.[3]
