Nichelle went to university with Malcolm Ducasse, and the pair were in a relationship for a time. The relationship ended due to Malcolm becoming addicted to drugs and dropping out of university. After becoming clean, Malcolm left a message for Nichelle apologizing for his behavior and explaining about Kilgrave and being brainwashed into becoming an addict.[1]
While searching for information on Dr. Karl Malus, Malcolm met Nichelle on campus and he apologized again. Nichelle accepted his apology and the two hugged. However, Malcolm used the opportunity to steal her student identification so he could infiltrate the building.[1]
