General Newcomb is a general of the United States Air Force who supervised the upgrading of the Mark II Iron Man armor.

Iron Man Armor Upgrades[]
Newcomb was told by James Rhodes that he would be impressed by the progress which had been made on the Mark II Iron Man armor, which was being upgraded to include weapons designed by Hammer Industries. Julius Allen unveiled the armor, and Newcomb was impressed. Newcomb said that they were to present the armor alongside Hammer Industries at Stark Expo, but Rhodes suggested they only use it when necessary. However, Newcomb claimed that it was necessary since the world needed to see the armor. Newcomb insisted it was an order, so Rhodes agreed. Newcomb then congratulated Rhodes and Allen.[1]
