The New York Mets are a Major League Baseball team based out of Manhattan.

The New York Mets were a famous baseball team. In the 1980s, Eddie Axton was cut from the team and later signed with the New York Nine.[1] By 2023, the Snap had affected the Mets, forcing them to shut down. Citi Field was eventually left abandoned and fans like Bobby and Peter Parker never forgot them.[2][3]
The Mets eventually began to play again in 2024 following the Blip, with Michelle Jones joking that she thought they would go all the way that year.[4]
