New Skrullos, also known as Skrull Town,[1] is the primary base of operations where the Skrull Council settled to plan the Secret Invasion. It rests among an abandoned undocumented nuclear site in Russia, which the Skrulls have utilized due to their radiation immunity and repurposed into a refuge compound.
History[]
Nuclear Meltdown[]
A town was established in Russia in the 1970s, with several major buildings built. It had a nuclear power plant melt down in the 1990s, which caused humans to abandon the area, leaving the town behind. The town remained abandoned for over twenty years, and became overgrown as nature took over the area.[1]
Secret Invasion[]
Established as a Base[]
- "So, is everyone a part of..."
"The resistance? No. Gravik provides refuge." - ―Beto and G'iah[src]
As part of his plan to wipe out humanity and establish a home for the Skrulls on Earth, Gravik moved the Skrull Resistance to an abandoned nuclear site and named it "New Skrullos." Skrulls started living there for refuge and did not leave, able to be in their own skin. Skrulls also kidnapped several people and held them at New Skrullos to impersonate them, such as Vasily Poprishchin.[2] Intending New Skrullos to be a temporary home, the Skrulls never did any repair to the damage caused by over twenty years of being abandoned.[1]
Beto's Arrival[]
Beto went to New Skrullos and was greeted at the gate by G'iah, who gave him food and brought him to the main area of the base, where children played. G'iah guided Beto through the facility and explained that Gravik provided refuge to Skrulls, explaining that only warriors left the facility. While Beto waited for his room, G'iah, Gravik, and Pagon oversaw Martin Wallace's replacement with Brogan.[2]
Planning an Attack[]
Later that day, Pagon informed Gravik of Nick Fury's arrival on Earth, and the two discussed the importance of separating Gravik from the Skrull Resistance's cause. Pagon pulled G'iah away from a conversation with Beto to task her with retrieving bombs from Vasily Poprishchin. She later returned with the bombs and Pagon complimented her efforts, saying that they were ready to move forward with their plan to attack Vossoyedineniye Square.[2]
Gravik's Defeat[]
As Raava tricked President James Ritson into targeting New Skrullos for a nuclear attack, G'iah, in the form of Nick Fury, brought Gravik the Harvest. Seemingly on the verge of victory, Gravik used the Harvest and the Super Skrull Machine to imbue himself with the powers of the Avengers and their enemies, but having also been in the machine at the time, G'iah received the upgrade as well. Gravik and G'iah battled across New Skrullos, ending with G'iah killing Gravik with Captain Marvel's powers.
At the same time, the real Nick Fury exposed and killed Raava, causing Ritson to call off the attack on New Skrullos, ending the Secret Invasion. G'iah freed all of the human prisoners from their Fracking Pods and they were returned home. However, as a result of the invasion, Ritson passed the Anti-Alien Act, leading to Skrulls across the planet being hunted by vigilantes.[3]

Behind the Scenes[]
- The design for the core reactor control room of the nuclear facility at New Skrullos was based on a power plant in Budapest which Frank Walsh enjoyed the design of. The room uses both older and futuristic technology in the same space to mirror the Skrulls' ability to make their own lives and technology based on what exists around them.[4]
