Nathan Bowen is the father of Tandy Bowen, and the wife of Melissa Bowen. Following a explosion of an oil rig, Bowen got into a car accident, but managed to survive. He found Tandy, who was in the car with him, the next day, and began to be less abusive toward Melissa. Bowen later attended a party celebrating Tyrone Johnson, who had become a police officer.

Destruction of the Roxxon Gulf Platform[]

As the Roxxon Gulf Platform exploded, Bowen crashed into the water while driving with his daughter, Tandy Bowen. Tandy ended up swimming out of the car, and Bowen managed to survive. The next morning, he and Billy Johnson found Tandy and Tyrone Johnson next to each other at the beach. Bowen rushed and comforted Tandy, while she and Tyrone looked at each other. After the crash, Bowen and his wife, Melissa, worked on their relationship and developed a more healthy connection.[1]
Tyrone Johnson's Party[]
Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson grew up to be friends, and the two families became very close. Bowen, along with Tandy and Melissa, attended a party to celebrate Johnson becoming a police officer.[2] Tandy delivered a toast for Johnson and hugged her father. Bowen later found Tandy pouring herself a drink, and asked her for tickets for her next recital. However, Tandy and Melissa made fun of Bowen for calling the performance a "recital" given that she was a professional ballerina.
Nathan and Melissa heard Adina Johnson playing piano and singing, so they went to watch. Melissa wanted to dance, although Bowen refused, so she began dancing with Duane Porter. While dancing, Bowen noticed a piece of confetti stuck in Melissa's hair, so he went to remove it. However, Tandy screamed at Bowen not to hurt Melissa, confusing Nathan, Melissa, and the other guests. Bowen quickly explained what happened, and Tandy went outside to get some air.
After being forced through two other alternate lives for herself, Tandy returned to the house and started yelling about looking for someone, so Bowen grabbed her arm and tried to calm her down. Tandy demanded that he let go of her, and Bowen told her not to make a scene. He called her a drunk like her mother, and Tandy yelled at Bowen to shut up.[1]
