History

In 2012, NY1 approached a man who was playing chess with a friend and interviewed him about the Avengers saving New York City. The man answered, "Superheroes in New York? Give me a break."
Pat Kiernan also discussed the Battle of New York, and how the Avengers had disappeared not long after they had first appeared.[1]
Later, NY1 reported on the Department of Damage Control.[2]
A few months later, Kiernan reported that American airwaves had been hijacked by a terrorist calling himself "The Mandarin."[3]
