Biography[]
Killing Riri Williams[]
Quentin Beck was on Earth when it was destroyed, and used its destruction as an opportunity to use his illusion technology to take over the planet, ruling it with an iron fist. He developed Vision as an enforcer of his will and laws, using the synthezoid to destroy resistance. Beck heard about a group of heroes working with Riri Williams and sent Vision to destroy the heroes. However, Williams responded by killing Vision.
Williams fused herself with Vision's technology, reactivating it and allowing Beck to see what she was doing. Beck realized that he could use the same process to extend his own life, so he allowed Williams to believe he would be able to see through Beck's illusions. As Williams approached, Beck manipulated Williams' surroundings so that she was at first unaware of the deaths of her allies as Williams approached him. Beck tried to take Vision for himself, but Williams fought back, leading Beck to reveal to Williams the truth about her fallen allies. This made Williams lose the will to fight, allowing Beck to take Vision's technology from her. This killed Williams and allowed Beck to continue to rule Earth.[1]

- Longevity: Beck took Vision's technology and fused it with himself, allowing him to live longer than he naturally would have been able to.

- Master Engineer: Beck was capable of programming Vision to enforce his own rule and of developing hyper-realistic illusion technology. Beck was further able to manipulate Vision's technology to extend his own lifespan.
