References to Marvel Comics[]

  • Characters from Marvel Comics set to be adapted into the show are Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, Aamir Khan, Muneeba Khan, Yusuf Khan, Kareem/Red Dagger, and Kamran.
  • In the Coles Academic High School, there are nods to artists and comic book writers that have worked on Kamala Khan's comics, such as G. Willow Wilson, Ian Herring, Stephen Wacker, Takeshi Miyazawa, Adrian Alphona, Joe Caramagna, Jamie McKelvie and Nico Leon.
  • Kamala's guidance counselor Gabe Wilson, Jr. is also meant as a nod to G. Willow Wilson, one of Kamala's co-creators.
  • During the credits, artwork for both Nakia and Aamir's comic book design are shown when the names of their respective actors appear on screen.

Kamala Khan's Room[]

  • There is an image of Carol Danvers' first suit as the original Ms. Marvel.

  • Tony Stark and Natasha Romanoff's sacrifice, as seen in Avengers: Endgame, is honored in a mural.
    • The scene of Natasha's death is homaged in Episode 2, with Bruno and Kamala taking Clint and Natasha's place.
  • Several of the heroes present in Endgame are seen depicted as people in costumes.
  • A drawing of Captain America is shown, seemingly riffing off the Avengers: Endgame quote "That is America's ass".
  • A booth advertises tours to New Asgard, as will be featured in Thor: Love and Thunder.

  • P. Cleary returns after previously making his debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
    • In the episode Crushed, he uses the same interrogation technique with Zoe Zimmer as he did with Ned Leeds; pretending to be intrigued by the things they've done before getting onto the topic of the interrogation.
