Agent Monti is a S.W.O.R.D. agent, assigned to the investigation of the Westview Anomaly. Upon being trapped within the Hex, he was transformed into a circus strongman.

S.W.O.R.D. Agent[]
Greeting the Consultants[]
With a new Anomaly in Westview, New Jersey, Monti was assigned to go there with S.W.O.R.D.. They made a Response Base before getting consultants. One of these being Darcy Lewis, who was very sassy. She set up and asked for a coffee before doing tests while Monti rushed her. She then revealed that there was CMBR coming off of the radiation. Monti did not know what that was, so she explained it was Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation. Monti explained that he thought the radiation was harmless. Lewis agreed but said that was not the case for long.
Lewis soon set up an old computer monitor, sarcastically thanking him for the lack up help. She then asked for an old television that was not flat. Monti got many. When changing the frequencies, they found out that there was actually on old television show running; one that featured Avengers Wanda Maximoff and Vision. S.W.O.R.D. soon sent Agent Franklin into the town through the sewage pipes. Monti monitored the rope, but it soon came back, transformed into a jump rope.[2]
Confrontation With Maximoff[]
Realizing that Wanda Maximoff was the principal victimizer, Tyler Hayward and Monica Rambeau sent a drone into the Hex. Unbeknownst to Rambeau, Hayward tasked Monti with arming the drone. They tried to get Maximoff to stand down, but she did not. Hayward then nodded at Monti, who had his men shoot the missile. However, the signal went dark. Suddenly, there was a breach. Everyone ran outside to find Maximoff walking out of the Hex with the destroyed drone in hand. She threw it to Hayward's feet before the two argued. Maximoff then mind controlled Monti and everyone to point their guns at Hayward as she walked away. When she walked back into the Hex, Monti was freed from the control.[3]
The agents went back inside where Monti witnessed an argument between Rambeau and Hayward. The two butted heads on how to approach Maximoff. Hayward eventually kicked Rambeau, Jimmy Woo, and Darcy Lewis off the mission.[4]
Trapped in the Hex[]
Later, there was another breach. Everyone ran out to find Vision trying to escape. However, the pull of the Hex was ripping him apart. Darcy Lewis, who sneaked back in, tried to get him help. Monti proceeded to grab Lewis and cuff her to a truck. Suddenly, the Hex started expanding. Monti left Lewis and made a run for it. However, he was caught in the Hex, becoming rewritten as a strongman in a carnival.[4]
The next day, the "Strongman" involuntarily played his part and scolded Vision, whom he believed was part of the carnival. "Strongman" told Vision to go over to where the Escape Artist was. Later, he yelled at Vision, saying the lions were off stage and he was next. As "Strongman" approached Vision and Escape Artist. The Artist, who was Darcy Lewis, punched "Strongman" across the face. "Strongman" demanded to know where the couple was going as they got into a funnel cake truck and drove off.[1]
