Reed Richards is the husband of Sue Storm, an astronaut, and member of the Fantastic Four known as Mister Fantastic. With his scientific abilities, he enhanced the team's ability to fight crime. Richards and the rest of the team attempted multiple times to allow a camera crew to film their family dinners, but kept getting interrupted by attacks on New York City, leading to the documentary crew filming a fight between the Fantastic Four and Mole Man instead.

Sunday Dinner Interviews[]
First Attempt[]

The Fantastic Four agreed to bring a documentary crew to the Baxter Building to interview the whole team over Sunday dinner to find out what they are like at home. Richards set up while Sue Storm called to him, saying that they need forks. Richards used his stretching ability to set the forks out from in the kitchen while H.E.R.B.I.E. struggled to bring plates to the table. Richards picked the plates up, then the rest of his body entered the kitchen and he saw the documentary crew. He introduced himself, saying that he would shake their hand but that he was occupied.
That night, Richards sat at the dinner table with Sue and Johnny Storm, waiting for Ben Grimm while Johnny grew impatient. Grimm returned with one of his aunt's recipes. They started to eat, and Richards used his stretching to pass mashed potatoes to Sue. Sue took the potatoes and put them down, when suddenly a large explosion occurred, attracting the attention of the team. An alarm went off, causing Storm to realize that they were under attack. The team all stood up, delaying the interview.[1]

The documentary crew returned the next week and interviewed Richards about his abilities, referring to them as "stretchy powers." Richards agreed that his elasticity could be referred to as stretching and that it was a useful ability as he did not even need a lab assistant. This upset H.E.R.B.I.E., so Richards pat him on the back and apologized, saying that H.E.R.B.I.E. was useful as well. However, Richards shifted the focus to his science, saying that most of his work only required stretching his mind. The documentary crew interviewed the other members of the Fantastic Four before returning to Richards while he was designing Dress Shoes that Ben Grimm would be able to wear despite his physique. He also shared that he was working on hair gel that could withstand Johnny Storm's flame. Later, he showed the crew an Unstable Molecule Necklace that he had created as a surprise for Sue Storm.

That night, the team sat down for dinner with the documentary crew again, and Richards complimented Grimm's cooking. However, he was cut off by another explosion, which made Grimm complain. Richards turned to the documentary crew and told them to stay there while the Fantastic Four saved New York City.[2]
Third Attempt[]
The documentary crew returned for a third week, hoping to be able to get a full Sunday dinner. They filmed Richards as he suddenly felt his hand getting picked up and moved. Richards smiled as he realized it was Sue Storm placing his arm around her shoulder as she revealed herself. Richards was asked about Storm, and he started to list her achievements and said that she was the most accomplished person he had ever met. He further said that he felt lucky to be her husband. He watched Storm lift herself above the streets of New York City and took notes, giving her a thumbs up. That night, they all sat for dinner together, but it was not long before another explosion and alarm went off, causing them to have to cancel the interview until they could contain the danger.[3]
