- Michael Cuesta directed the first two original episodes of Daredevil: Born Again,[2] but was fired when the series underwent a creative overhaul.[3] The first episode was then entirely rewritten by Dario Scardapane and re-directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. However, a bulk of the footage Cuesta had directed for the original first and second episodes was repurposed into what became the second and third episodes of the reworked first season, and thus Cuesta received directorial credit for the episodes Optics and The Hollow of His Hand.
