That is not something "the community" can decide or not. It's something that Marvel either says or doesn't. If you ask for opinión on your own theory, that' speculation, and it has no place on our articles.
With all due respect Shabook I'd like to point out a few things that have been metioned for me in a discussion post and may change your respected opinion on Josef being the Steel Guardian from the comics (as said in the Comic Features page too)
So without any simmilarity and official confirmation, these have been liked and added to the trivia:
-Counsilwoman Hawley is said to be Pamela Hawley, for only having the same surname and knowing Fury. It is even said like this: "It is possible that " -->it is pure speculation and fanon and yet have been accepted.
- Clay Wilson is also stated to be Force despite having 0 confirmation, no relation to Iron Man or Hammer, being villanous, having a super suit, and despite having a different name in the comics: Clayton Wilson. Yet have been approved to be true.
Based on these facts I think my proposition is appropriate that Josef, who has the same name, same nationality and having been the part of the Russian version of the Super Soldier Program, and having superpoweres is indeed the Steel Guardian from the comics.
We also both know that nothing in the MCU is by accident, he could have been named differently, and having a different nationality, but he was made for what he is, showing intentionallity.
All I ask is the reconsider your opinion based on facts, and that I'm not the only one saying this (Angel Gro ).
Shabook wrote: #Clay Wilson is Clay Wilson, what confirmation do you need for that?
Same name yes, but doesn't mean same character. Also he was Clayton Wilson and than Carl Walker in the comics. Despite the same name no other similarities in power, backstory, connections have been desplayed in the Punisher series.
I really don't want to agrue and debate, just pointing things out. Josef has more connections with his comic book counterpart that the previous 2 combined..
All I did was to pinpoint that there are other characters in this wikia who recived the comic book counterpart in the trivia without official confirmation, based on the simmilarities between the two's name, power, story and relationships. This is fact, not an opinion.
Also facts are that these sort of simmilarities appear between Josef and the Steel Guardian.
Also I'd like to say that him not being the same is your opinion. But besides being the Admin, your opinion has the same level of authourity as mine, as long as all follows the rules. And I did not beak any by asking ("The Admins are just users with mops and brooms. Their opinions are not worth more or less than yours." qoute from your page)
Again I'd like to express that I'm not arguing, or undermining authority or trolling or wasitng time. I am, as so do you working on improving this wikia.
Hawley was an off-hand audio commentary. Extremely minor and I'm not able to recall after 4 years, but it was added because it was enough back then.
Again, and at the risk of sounding repetitive, Clay Wilson is Clay Wilson. Trying to deny that for your own theory is the worst choice to make.
And now, another usual mistake that people comit whenever they are not allowed to add something they believe it's cool.
It's extremely rare that I voice my personal opinion on anything here. Precisely because of this. And this is no different, I haven't said what my opinion is. So now, having you analyzing an opinion I haven't even voiced to prove your points is, at the very least, suspicious. And kinda pisses me off a little bit, but that's something that I personally dislike and doesn't matter for the topic.
I asked for a source, anything to back your opinion, you're unable to provide it. End of story....
I think Vagon23 confused Tessa Thompson's statement a bit. It is confirmed that she is bisexual and that she had a lover on Sakaar in a cut scene, but the Valkyrie was never confirmed to be her former lover, that was basically just Thompson's headcanon.
When I asked for sources, I thought it was obvious, but I was asking for official sources. What some fan wrote down at another wiki or says out loud in a YouTube video has zero oficial value, and as such, is not a valid source.
And while that Tessa Thompson acknowledgment that she portraye Valkyrie as bisexual is widely known, I was asking for a source that the valkyrie that saved her was her lover.
This is 3 different soures. But I think the conclusive evidence is the marvel wikia one, which acknowledges the actors statement.
Pay attention to her agony in a flashback where Blanchett’s Goddess of Death murders the rest of Valkyrie’s warrior clan. “There’s a great shot of me falling back from one of my sisters who’s just been slain,” says Thompson. “In my mind, that was my lover.”"
Obviously I understood what you wanted. And since NO I do not have it, only the ones that I showed you, which you said it's not good enough, I ended this conversation.
And since I did not vandalise this wiki, and I am wokring reaaally hard, to bring quality work here, I don't think I should be warned.
You know.. We're humans, we make mistakes. I did and edit, with what I thought reliable backup sourse, and you decided it's not canon. Understood, and I doesn't care about it anymore. But please, why are you threathening me with the block for WEEKS? when I did understood, and accepted what you wanted. All I did was thought if Tessa says that it means that it is. But I was enlightened, thanks. ;)
Now, I think we can handle this like civilized people right? No need to get upset right away, when there is a slighest misundestanding. Honest, opened mentality and friendly communication is the key to solve problems right.
I didn't get upset at any moment. This wiki, like any other wiki, and like anything in life for that matter, has a set of rules.
A set of rules that are mandatory. And if you not follow them, either by mistake, for not knowing them, or on purpose, you are warned that you're not following them, and also warned of the consequences if that continues to happen.
Wrong is wrong, no matter that everything else is done right. Like in a sports game, like in life itself, there's not a reason in this wiki I have to apologize when somebody else makes a mistake and gets warned for it.
The absence of just one sentence that would explain what the article is about, that's the issue here. Something like "The Royal Bunker is... etc." But just the infobox? That's not an article. As for "others", our policies also say Excuses like "I made it so others could fill it" are unacceptable.
You should have thought about that before you broke a rule that leads to blocking. Ignorance is not an excuse. You joined this Wiki three months ago. You had plenty of time to acquaint yourself with our rules. Blocking you will teach you that when you join some community you have to follow that community's rules and make you more careful in the future.
Do you have any theories about Infinity War. What do you think will happen to the Asgardians? Is it a plausible theory that Hela may return? I mean she is the Goddess of Death and she could cheat death. The Marvel Universe is known for bringing back characters who were presumed dead. In the trailer, is Loki relinquishing the Tesseract to Thanos and the Black Order in an attempt to save the lives of the Asgardians?
Concerning the Soul Stone theory, I am assuming that Heimdall contains the stone. If you can recall, Heimdall did mention that he has the ability to see through the soul of every being in the Nine Realms. Unfortunately though, I think that Heimdall will die. I at least hope that Valkyrie or Loki will survive.
What role will Jack Rollins play in the film? As we last saw him, he was a disguised HYDRA operative who infiltrated SHIELD. After the Triskelion was destroyed, moments after Rollins and various other HYDRA agents were subdued by Black Widow, I thought that every person still in the building perished. Will he aid the Avengers?
One last question; Why isn't Nakia appearing in the film?
Well I think what'll happen is Loki will teleport away all Asgardians, exept himself and Thor. Thor escapes, Hulk crashes to the NY sanctorum, and Loki gets killed by Thanos. 100% sure Hela will not return, at least in this movie. I do remember Heimdall's ability, but still not sure about him having the stone. That'd be 2 stones from Asgard. Valkarie will survive, because the actress is amazing, might even play a love interest for Thor in a future movie. I think it might just be a flashback of some sort including Jack Rollins. Why wouldn't Nakia be in the movie? She will. Or might in the next movie.
Well thanks for answering the questions. I really hope that the Asgardians survived. But if you watch the trailer, Loki is stepping through the debris of dead bodies who appear to be wearing Asgardian attire. I was surprised when Captain America, Falcon, and Black Widow subdued the two members of the Black Order.
Hi, is it true that Hawkeye, Ant Man, Korg, and Valkyrie were not in the film? There were several websites I read that pointed out that Hawkeye and Valkyrie were going to appear in Infinity War. Did Valkyrie really die? I mean, I don't understand how most characters are dead and how some of the deceased will appear in Avengers 4, unless the Avengers get ahold of the Time Stone and rewind the whole movie so that the Battle of Statesman, Wakanda, New York, never occurred.
As much as I would like to tell you all this, can I please please not spoil it all?
I do too love going to an MCU movie having done the research and knowing what'll happen. But belive me when I say, you'll only only get an OK experience if you know what's the story. Otherwise, if you go to see it unaware of all the infos, I promise, it'll be FENOMENAL!!! Just go and watch it and dont even come on the wikia till you do, because you'll enjoy it like that the most!!!
I saw Infinity War over the weekend. It was amazing. They will have to resurrect the majority characters, even Loki and Heimdall. What happened to the other Asgardians? Did all of them die, along with Valkyrie? And plus, I kind of need to rewatch Black Panther to make edits to it. Btw, is it true that you cannot add screenshots to boxes on this wikia???
I saw it again today! Still amazing, and for me in the top 3 MCU movies so far.
So how are you doing with BP edits? TraceFinder also joined us, and togerher we already did plenty, but as you know, all help is needed. You can find all here: http://marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Article_stubs
But also if you'd be up for it, Infinity War also needs plenty of work. I paralelly work now on BP, IW and Runaways :D
Just so you know, I finished watching the first season of Runaways, so the stubs and redlinks regarding the series have now entered my list of potential articles to work on. As always, I will do it on a random basis, but feel free to ask for help on a given article if necessary ;-)
I just noticed and it's wonderful news! Did you like the show?
Because of my exams and moving to a new aparmant I don't have that much time on my hand as I'd want, but I already started reorganising some of the galleries preferably in order, and work on Gert's page a bit. KennyOmega123, David Kaique and Rianofshield are also with us working on Runaways, so I think it should not take more than 2-3 weeks to complete most of the pages! So glad we can work together like that as a team!
I wish they explored the origin of him and his powers... and also the specifics of the staff of one was a bit too meh for me. "It's not magic bc we're only a tv show... but cant explain properly.. so.. nanotech.."
But all in all the actors were grand, story too, more or less. Wish they'd use more of their comic book names.. Old Lace and Arsenic explanation was brilliant tho.
How's things? I've been out for a month now, and will too for and other 2-3 weeks, but I see you've been busy.
I'm doing my military training now, but once I'm back I can help you out with the projects. What do you have in mind for the future?
Btw have you seen Cloak&Dagger and Antman? Unfortunatly I missed the movie so far, but hopefully this weekend I get to see it. I heard its really good.
Glad you're still around to further develop the wiki! I'm watching Cloak & Dagger, I'm waiting for the season to end before working on the articles. I also seen Ant-Man and the Wasp, I enjoyed it a lot. It felt good to have such a fun movie after the darkness of Infinity War ;-)
Finally got the chance to see Ant-man II. If I'm honest, I was a tiny bit disappointed. I mean its awesome and all, but the first one was funnier, and also I found the lack of true antagonist disturbing. Ghost was great, but just couldnt get my head around why was Sonny necessary.
What dou you think of C&D so far? Despite the unnecessary overuse of teen pop music, I think it a good one. Nice to see something happening outside of NYC.
I wanted to ask you, have you seen Agent Carter? and do you plan to work on some of the stubs that remained from that show?
I'll be in Rome for a few days, but I think I'll start with those pages, once I'm back.
I also preferred the first Ant-Man over the second. Regarding Sonny, I guess he was not as much of a threat as Ghost, but I still enjoyed the comic relief brought by him and his minions. Overall, I found the movie pretty enjoyable, even if not one of the best MCU movies, obviously. Plus, it was hard to come after Infinity War ;-)
I find Cloak & Dagger O.K., but if I'm being honest, I have a hard time rooting for both the main characters. So far, the only character I really enjoy is Det. O'Reilly. Sometimes I also find it hard to follow in terms of timeline. Overall I find it good, but not more than good.
Unfortunately I haven't seen Agent Carter, so I can't help you with these articles...
Will Avengers 4 involve time travel? Does this mean that many dead characters such as Loki, Heimdall, Winter Soldier, Hela, Dark Elves, Ancient One, and others who've said farewell to MCU will be alive?
