  • Hey, I'm here to ask you to please stop edit warring on Captain Marvel. The MCU Wiki defines Edit Warring as constantly reverting edits back and forth within a short span of time. IF a use reverts the same edit three times within a short span of time, it is a violation of the "three-revert" rule. I explained that your deletion was unnecessary, and will proceed to explain that I provided four examples for my contribution that are all extremely valid. You, however, have not left any edit summaries to explain your side. If you have a reason for seeing your edits as legitimate, feel free to reply here as an alternative to edit warring.

    • Yes, the same one we deal with when we happen to come across it. And we came across yours before others. That isn't stop us from dealing with it no matter how much it pisses you.

As I said, this kind of confrontational behaviour is not needed, nor welcome. I hope you reconsider your approach in the next community you try to join.

      Good afternoon, and good luck

    • "Is that, like, a personal attack or something?"

"How am I being excessively confrontational"

Also, the wiki acknowledging the characters' less virtuous and praiseworthy traits is one thing, going over Ronan the Accuser article's personality section and literally copying it, word by word, into Captain Marvel's is a troll move.

  • The point of Iron Man 2 was for Tony to create the new element as the palladium poisoned him; the arc reactor was powering both himselff (keeping the shrapnel out of his heart) as well as powering the armors. Following his surgery in the third Iron Man, his arc reactors would only power the suit and not him. Therefore we wouldn't be sure if the arc reactors he uses from them on would contain palladium or the new element; he could have maintained the element, but it would be speculation.

    • That's a good point that I had forgotten. But still, the new arc reactor was a complete improvement. It was more stable specifically because the new element lasts longer. With the Palladium ones, he kept swapping the Palladium fuel every now and then. With the new ones, we never ever see him do such a thing. Sure, you could say "we never SEE him do it, so it's just speculation" but come on, it's obviously implied, with the way he never worries about refueling it again after he starts using the new element. So there's no reason why he would go back to an inferior design.

The reason he was swapping it out was because the palladium was powering his heart AND the suits, and thus were running out very fast (they were pulling double duty).

After having the reactor removed from his chest, any palladium arc reactor would not be running out as much as they would only be using power when an Iron Man suit is activated, whereas before they were active 24/7 inside Tony's chest. So naturally, it ran out very fast.

There's no proof that the New Element lasts longer on its own vs the palladium one, is there? Factoring in the fact that the cores do not perform double duty any more; it's just to power the suits. If the New Element was proven to last longer, then yes, one could say Tony would still use it rather than revert back. But to do so other wise would be speculation.

I think that's why anything after the third Iron Man wasn't listed on the page, with Endgame being there because of the 2012 Time Heist Tony's reactor.

    • OK I have my doubts now. You can revert my edit if you want to. I won't undo it.

But I don't think a small little magnet in his chest to keep away shrapnel needs any significant amount of power, compared to a suit with, like, 500 different functionalities and laser weapons. Saying it was working "double" duty because of it, is itself speculation.

  • Welcome to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki. We hope you enjoy contributing to our work here.

We have noticed that you used the Visual Mode for your recent contributions. However, due to the high number of glitches and problems that it causes, the community has agreed to make Source Mode the only editing mode allowed in the wiki.

Please make sure to change it in the Special:Preferences page, editing tab, before your next edit. Thank you!

    • Would you mind telling me how? I would have never used the Visual Mode if I knew how to add categories without it.

    • Nevermind, I figured it out. Thanks for the warning.

  • You have incorrectly added references to the Ant-Man article, attributing them to the Ant-Man when they belong to one of the Tie-in comics.

If you're not sure and don't check the references, DON'T ADD THEM. Adding them wrongly would be considered addition of false infomation, which is a blockable offense.

    • Noted. Although those were the only two that I guessed. I assure you I checked and rechecked every other one.

    • I honestly find hard to believe that the first character I come across is, coincidentally, the only ones that you haven't checked.

Even so, this wiki NEVER works with guesses.

    • You don't have to believe me, you can just see through my edit history to check my other references. I'm sure of them.

But I get it, I won't guess them again.

    • After having de-stubbed something like 50 pages at most, I know 1000 is a looot of work! I think around Friday or Saturday my workload will narrow a bit, so I'll probably start around then.
