  • Coulson Welcome

Welcome to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki. We hope you enjoy contributing to our work here. Here are a few useful links for newcomers:

Make sure to change your default editor to Source Mode in the Special:Preferences page, Editing tab. Source Mode is the only editing mode allowed in this wiki, as Visual Mode is not allowed due to the high number of glitches and problems it has caused.

Remember that you should sign all comments on talk and vote pages with four tildes (~~~~) to create your signature. You don't have to sign your comments on comment pages.

If you have any questions or discussion topics you wish to raise, don't forget to visit the Forum. You can also ask the admins any questions you may have.

    • You're very good in this. Could you take a look at the United States Armed Forces article and see if anything is missing in the Paraphernalia section?

        Loading editor
    • Of course, I was meaning to add all the specifc vehicles and every weapon for all the organizations that didn't already have them listed. It feels really really good to be a productive member of the wiki :) Thank you for your kind words!

  • Welcome to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki. We hope you enjoy contributing to our work here.

We have noticed that you used the Visual Mode for your recent contributions. However, due to the high number of glitches and problems that it causes, the community has agreed to make Source Mode the only editing mode allowed in the wiki.

Please make sure to change it in the Special:Preferences page, editing tab, before your next edit. Thank you!

  • Whoa...we discuss categories here before we create them! STOP!!!

      Loading editor
    • oh, im sorry man i didn't know. my rationale here is that there was no category for robots/drones. my criteria for this category was if they are/can be operated by an artificial intelligence and function as identically in terms of movement to piloted mech suits/power armor, distinguishing them from earlier Iron Man suits and UAVs/drones like the D.W.A.R.F.s

    • We discuss the new categories here. Also, when you are leaving a message on a talk page, you have to sign your comment. Talk pages are not the same as comment pages. See the Welcome message at the bottom of your message wall.

    • I always seem to get notifications later than when you post them. sorry for the hassle i'll take more care next time.

  • Please note that all images you upload must be placed in each respective gallery that they belong to. For example, the Daredevil images of Kingpin go in the gallery of the episode (or movie for the movie screencaps) they came from, the gallery of each character that appears in the image (if an image has Phil Coulson, Daisy Johnson, and Alphonso Mackenzie, and is from the episode Devils You Know, it goes in Devils You Know/Gallery, Phil Coulson/Gallery, Daisy Johnson/Gallery, and Alphonso Mackenzie/Gallery). Also please make sure to add the source of the image to each image you add (the movie, episode, comic, etc). Instructions can be found here. Thank you!

  • I left you a message in one of your blogs, but I believe this is the most adequate place for this.

You can't come to a wiki and start changing things your own way without taking into account that you're part of a community of editors. There is a quote that says that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. In here, it can be applied to the tastes of the many, the opinions of the many, and so on. No matter how much you believe you're right. No matter how ready you are to engage in neverending arguments to defend your position.

Marvel constantly releases information that contradicts something that was previously believed. I remember that, following the episode where Agent 33 was electrocuted by Melinda May in the face, her article listed her as deceased. And a few weeks later, she was revealed to be alive. The same for Jiaying's death, or for HYDRA's destruction following World War II.

And there were no fights, no arguments, nobody blaming another for being wrong. The community accepted something, it was proven wrong, and we changed it accordingly.

You insist on blaming me, going so far as accusing me of abusing my admin tools, and accusing me of insulting you, when wikilawyering is simply the accurate description of the way you try to defend your personal opinions (not shared by anyone else, by the way).

So, I'd advise you to reconsider the way you approach this wiki, the way you make edits, and especially, the way you treat other users. If you insist on not doing so, then we will reconsider the way this wiki approachs you.

    Sincerely
    Shabook

  • Greetings.

When you grammatically correct a location, you must repeat that same correction in other places related to that edit. For example, if you correct Times Square, you must also correct New York City; NYC has the same mistake (due to having the same content) and requires that same correction. For every city, check its corresponding country. For every building, check its city and country.

    Thanks...

(P.S. The opposite direction is true is well. So if you change "New Jersey", check the corresponding city that action occurred in, such as Wheaton, and the base of Captain America ((forgot its name)).)

  • Please, don't upload the artwork from Deviantart without asking the artist for permission. Also, the logo you uploaded has the wrong number of stars (the correct number is 49).

  • Please link the dates in articles. Read the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki:Formatting Guide for the proper coding. Also all dates should be written in the American form like November 2, 2015.
