Love and Death[]

Meredith Quill lived in Missouri where she met Ego, who was an alien known as a Celestial. Together, they had a son named Peter Quill. Meredith loved Peter and gave him the nickname of Star-Lord. However, Meredith was soon given cancer by Ego, who wanted to use Peter to take over the universe.[1]
