The Wilson family began banking with the Merchant & Treasury Service, and proceeded to do so for several generations. Following the return of half the world's population, the Merchant & Treasury Service created stricter policies regarding the loans it gives.
Sam Wilson and Sarah Wilson went to the Merchant & Treasury Service and met with a loan officer, who recognized Sam as being Falcon, an Avenger. They talked about Sam's heroics, but Sam attempted to redirect the conversation back to the loan he was asking for. Sam explained that he did not get paid to be an Avenger, and the loan officer told him that he had had no income in the past five years. Sam explained that he should have qualified for a loan, but the officer explained that they created stricter rules. The officer asked for a selfie with Sam, upsetting the hero while Sarah laughed. The officer refused the loan.
Sam and Sarah left, and Sam was angry, insisting that he would get that loan. Sarah implored Sam to stop fighting and let her sell their parents' boat.[1]
