Robbery of New York Mutual Bank[]
On Saint Patrick's Day in 2027, Meghan Checca went into work at New York Mutual Bank. A group of bank robbers then came in and started firing guns, taking everyone inside as hostages, including Checca. Checca watched anxiously as the group's leader, Green, told all of them that they needed the manager, but stayed quiet about the manager not being in that day. As the New York City Police Department arrived outside the bank, Checca put her head down at the robbers' orders.
Green accepted a phone call from hostage negotiator Angie Kim and then returned to the hostages, and Checca watched as Green initially attempted to force Belinda and Matt Murdock to be released together. She watched Murdock convince Green to send Belinda's husband, Keith, out in his place. Murdock later claimed to have to go to the bathroom, so Red took him while Purple and Yellow continued to hold Checca at gunpoint. The police eventually came in and liberated the hostages, including Checca.[1]
