Major General Meade is a high ranking officer in the United States Air Force, a commanding officer of James Rhodes before Rhodes assumed the mantle of War Machine.

Creating War Machine
Following Tony Stark's conflict with the United States Congress over control of the Iron Man suits, Colonel James Rhodes fought Stark in his Mansion and confiscated the Mark II armor. Rhodes delivered the suit to Edwards Air Force Base where General Meade ordered Rhodes to turn the Mark II armor over to Justin Hammer for weapons upgrading.[1]
