When the Kitchen Irish came looking for Frank Castle seeking revenge and wanting their money, they found his apartment with Max inside. The Kitchen Irish then took Max from the apartment, and Castle was forced to watch helplessly in hiding as they carried Max away. While the mob tortured Castle, they brought Max into the room and forced him to tell them the location of their money for they would torture Max as well. Not wanting Max to get hurt, Castle promised to tell them where the money was.[3]

Behind the Scenes[]

  • Jon Bernthal revealed at ACE Comic Con in 2018 that a scene with Max was originally planned to take place at the end of Penny and Dime, to show that he had survived; however, the crew could not get Bull to sit still during filming and the scene was ultimately cut from the episode.[4]
  • Behind the scenes photography revealed that Max was supposed to return at some point during the second season of The Punisher, portrayed by Bull. However, Max never appeared on the show for some unknown reason.[5]
