Marvel Zombies is an upcoming animated American web television series, based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name. The series is a spin-off of the What If...? episode What If... Zombies?!. It will be an installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series is produced by the Marvel Animation division of Marvel Studios and will be released on Disney+.[1]
The first season will consist of four episodes[3] and premiere in 2024.[2]

On November 12, 2021, during Disney+ Day 2021, it was announced that an animated Marvel Zombies television series was in development for Disney+ with Zeb Wells attached to write and executive produce.[1] That same day, Brad Winderbaum revealed that the series would continue the universe that was set up in the What If...? episode What If... Zombies?!.[8]
On July 22, 2022, at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, it was announced that the series would be rated TV-MA. It was also announced that the series would premiere in 2024.[2]
On October 8, 2022, in an interview with Comicbook.com, Zeb Wells revealed that the series' first season would consist of four episodes.[3]
On November 28, 2023, in an interview with The Direct, Iman Vellani confirmed that she had voiced Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel for the series. She also revealed that Khan was one of the series' main characters.[5]
On January 5, 2024, Bryan Andrews revealed that since the series was a spin-off of the What If...? episode What If... Zombies?!, it would not be a direct adaption of the comic book series of the same name, but that it was inspired by the comic book series.[9]
