Marvel Television

Marvel Television is a television production company and a subsidiary of Marvel Studios.

History

Originally a subsidiary of Marvel Entertainment, Marvel Television was founded in July 2010, with Jeph Loeb heading the division.

In October 2019, it was reported that Marvel Television would be moved under the Marvel Studios banner, with Kevin Feige overseeing the creative direction of the unit. The following month, Jeph Loeb left his post as the head of Marvel Television. In December 2019, the division was folded into Marvel Studios and shuttered.

By 2024, Marvel Television was revived to serve as a label for Marvel Studios' TV series, starting with Agatha All Along.

Daredevil (2015-2018)

Season One (2015)

Marvel's Daredevil is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night.

Season Two (2016)

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell's Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.

Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt's neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.

In season one, we saw Tandy and Ty dip their toes into the world of hopes and fears; this season, they will dive deeper into this metaphysical pool. With enhanced powers and a decision to be the type of heroes they want to be, they make the choice to run into the danger, head first. They tackle a heartless vigilante and uncover an evil that's been preying on the young women of the city, as the show takes on more serious topics like gang violence and human trafficking.
