Maria Rambeau began working for the United States Air Force as a pilot. She eventually had a child named Monica. She befriended Carol Danvers, and eventually made her Monica's godmother.[1]

Reunion with Carol Danvers
Long after crashlanding on Earth, Carol Danvers and her friends, Nick Fury and Goose, came to Rambeau for help, as she was the last person to see her and Wendy Lawson alive. Arriving at the Rambeau Residence, Vers' presence surprised her friend. However, her daughter instantly went over and hugged her as she knew she was still alive. Vers explained to Maria and Monica that she had crashlanded and demonstrated her powers by lighting a stove.
Suddenly, Vers found out that Talos successfully tracked them but decided to hear him out, being convinced to give him a chance. Vers listened to a black box that recovered her memory of the crash and how she got her cosmic powers. Lost and confused about her identity when she realized that she had been lied to by the Kree for years, Vers was reminded of who she is. Maria saw the whole thing and comforted her. Danvers decided to make things right with the Skrulls by helping them find Lawson's old lab.[1]
Battle at Mar-Vell's Laboratory
Carol Danvers, Talos, Nick Fury, Rambeau, and Goose arrived at the base where they found more Skrulls in the laboratory as well as the Infinity Stone known as the Tesseract. However, they were ambushed and captured by Starforce. Rambeau stuck with Fury and Carol caught up with them and decided to buy them time to escape from the laboratory.
Returning to the Rambeau Residence to celebrate their victory over the Kree, Maria enjoyed her time with her friends. Carol took off to help the Skrulls, bidding Maria goodbye.[1]
