Maria Hill was a virtual recreation of the real-world person of the same name inside the Framework. Maria Hill was a rebel leader who went underground following the HYDRA uprising, returning to spread and promote an anti-HYDRA newsletter, only to be killed in a car chase with HYDRA officials.
Biography[]
Going Underground[]
Following the rise of HYDRA and the mass purging of Inhumans, Maria Hill hid from authorities and the public. HYDRA believed Hill was killed during these events.[2][1]
Dark Reign[]
Hill eventually returned to the public eye, where she created and spread an anti-HYDRA newspaper titled "Dark Reign," which spread "treason and conspiracy against the state."[2][1]
Death[]
The HYDRA Observer reported that after HYDRA made preparations to capture and arrest Hill, she kidnapped an off-duty police officer, which led to a high-speed chase with the authorities. As a result, Hill's car crashed and burned, and both Hill and the officer were killed.[2][1]
