In preparation for an attack on Kamar-Taj by Scarlet Witch, Maria took her post on top of a roof, ready to fire. As Scarlet Witch arrived, Maria listened to Sorcerer Supreme Wong's instructions. However, the witch was so powerful that she blasted through Kamar-Taj's defenses and took Wong hostage, although Maria was able to survive her attack.[1]
