On the run from her father Thaddeus Ross and the Strategic Operations Command Center, Betty Ross and Bruce Banner needed money. Betty offered to sell the necklace she wore around her neck. The pair took the necklace to Mantlo & Wein's Pawnshop where they sold the necklace for cash.
