Malik was the boyfriend of Jazmine Stokes and the father of Cornell Stokes.
Biography[]
While he was working as a drummer for Sugar Hill Records, Malik start dating Jazmine Stokes, the daughter of the owner of Harlem's Paradise Mabel Stokes. Mabel did not like Malik due to his drug usage. Jazmine and Malik eventually had a son, but Malik overdosed on drugs soon after. Not seeing herself as fit to be a mother, Jazmine asked Mabel to raise her son.[1]
