Madagascar, officially the Republic of Madagascar, is an island country off the coast of Southeast Africa.
History
Madagascar had a vast amount of key mineral resources, specially various types of precious and semi-precious stones, including musgravites, one of the rarest gemstones in the world.
HYDRA was able to obtain one of these Malagasy musgravites, and high-ranking operative Sunil Bakshi used it to pay Carl Creel for his services to HYDRA, as Daniel Whitehall, Bakshi's superior, certainly knew that Creel would take pleasure in absorbing its properties.[1]
