Biography

Working for Diamondback

Attack on Harlem's Paradise

When Diamondback, Shades, and several of their henchmen, Lopes decided to come along with them in order to capture several important political figures in order to evade the New York City Police Department's siege. Lopes, along with several of Diamondback's henchmen came into Harlem's Paradise and shot at Misty Knight in hopes of killing her, however Knight was shielded by Luke Cage, who was unaffected by the bullets. Lopes, along with Sugar and Ty were assigned to take the remaining hostages captive and execute them if they resist to be arrested.

When Diamondback had went to go find Cage and Knight Diamondback had Lopes, Ty, and the rest of his henchmen to accompanied him. When Diamondback finds that Cage and Knight are gone, he ordered his henchmen to search every inch until they find Cage and Knight. When Lopes and Sugar had found Candace Miller, one of the hostages in agony from an unknown pain Claire Temple, another hostage said that Miller had medicine in a locker that she knew where it was. Sugar ordered Lopes to escort Temple to the locker for the medicine.

When Lopes was escorting Temple the latter pushes Lopes down the stairs, temporarily disarming him and Temple ran off in hopes to find Cage. Sugar later informed Diamondback that Temple had disappeared after Sugar had Lopes escorted Temple out so she could get the medicine for Miller's injury. Later, Cage battled Diamondback's henchmen and defeated them while Diamondback waits for Cage. While on the same stair as he went on when he was pushed off the stairs by Temple, Lopes shot at Cage but to no effect, as a result Cage disarms Lopes and knocks Lopes out, defeating him. Later, on a police unit lead by Mario Green, came into Harlem's Paradise and arrested Cage, Shades, Sugar, Lopes, Ty, and the rest of Diamondback's henchmen and brought them to a police station for questioning.[1]

Weapons

  • Heckler & Koch MP5K: Lopes carried one of these submachine guns while staying at Harlem's Paradise during a protest organized by Mariah Dillard. Once Luke Cage revealed his presence, Zip and the rest of the henchmen opened fire on Cage, hoping to harm him and kill Misty Knight, whom Cage was shielding with his body. He was disarmed twice in the same set of stairs, once when escorting Claire Temple downstairs, and the other when looking for Cage, who ambushed him and knocked the gun out of him.
