History[]
Ambush on Gregory Sallinger[]
Gregory Sallinger kept his victims' bodies in a tank at the Long Island City Rail Terminal. Wanting to know where he hid his bodies, Jones borrowed a severed hand from Maury Tuttlebaum and threw it into the window of Sallinger's apartment. Jones followed Sallinger to the rail terminal and was joined by Trish Walker. The pair watched Sallinger enter the tank and dispose of the hand, so Jones resolved to check the tank for bodies while Walker followed Sallinger.
Jones entered the tank and accidentally set a tripwire, sealing the hatch and dumping chemicals in the water to dispose of the body parts, giving off toxic fumes which Jones struggled with. Walker continued following Sallinger while Jones attempted to escape, punching the wall of the tank several times. Walker attacked Sallinger, who told her that Jones only had thirty seconds to live. Walker chose to rescue Jones and got her safely, and Sallinger escaped. Jones thanked Walker for saving her life, and exchanged apologies regarding Walker's killing of Jones' mother.[1]
Jones called the police, who investigated and took evidence from the tank. Eddy Costa approached Jones and asked for evidence and information, so Jones provided Costa with Sallinger's address and told him where to find a photo album of Sallinger's victims. Jones went over to Walker's car and insisted to Walker that the police would handle the situation. Walker received a text from her mother about a meeting for her television program, and Jones advised Walker to go.
The police examined the evidence found at the rail terminal, but did not find enough to convict Sallinger.[2]
