"The money's a means to an end. You were right, I need to do what Stane says if I want a physical body. Nothing's gonna stop me."
―Living Laser to Iron Man[src]

Arthur Parks, also known as Living Laser, was an enemy of Iron Man.

Working for A.I.M.[]

Losing His Body[]

"I was nobody. Nothing. They made me power incarnate."
―Living Laser[src]

Arthur Parks was a man who believed he was nothing. Eventually, he got help from A.I.M., who made him a Living Laser Armor, giving him new abilities, but taking away his physical body.[1]

Tricking Stark[]

"I'm trying to give you a chance, Stark. My job's to deliver the rest of Extremis. If you stay out of my way, I don't have to destroy you!"
―Living Laser to Iron Man[src]

Tasked by A.I.M., Parks chased down Iron Man in order to get Extremis. When there, Parks gave Stark a chance to get out of his way, which Stark refused to do. Instead, Stark asked if A.I.M. knew how Parks could go back to normal from his Living Laser Armor. Stark offered to help Parks, who refused, saying he would kill Stark. The two fought and in the end, Parks successfully uploaded his consciousness to the fiber-optic network, allowing him access to Extremis.[1]

Battling Stark Again[]

"Again? Are you trying to ruin my life?"
―Living Laser to Iron Man[src]

Later, Iron Man attacked Living Laser, angering him. Parks then confessed that he did need to help Ezekiel Stane if he wanted his physical body back. Stark offered to help again, although once he completed, Parks would be incarcerated. While they fought, Parks tried to get into the network again, but fortifications were put up so that he failed to do so.[1]

Chance for a Body[]

"Good news, Stark. Stane found a way to restore my body. All I have to do is bring him yours! Dead or... well deader."
―Living Laser to Iron Man[src]

Living Laser was then told by Ezekiel Stane that the latter found a way to restore Parks' body. All Parks had to do was bring Iron Man down. Stark disagreed, saying that as soon as Parks defeated him, they would kill him too. Parks simply said he was not an easy guy to get rid of. As the two fought, Parks scolded Stark, saying he was much faster and powerful. Iron Man argued he was smarter and quicker. Parks then exploded into pieces.[1]
