- "I loved being a witch."
- ―Lilia Calderu[src]
Lilia Calderu was a Sicilian witch specializing in divination. Raised in a coven in Sicily, Calderu predicted that they would be wiped out by a fever but they accepted their fates. Emigrating to the United States, she met William Kaplan at his bar mitzvah and put a sigil on him, which was then tied to Billy Maximoff after he transferred his soul to Kaplan's dead body.
Three years later, she met Maximoff and Agatha Harkness, who sought to recruit her into a coven to walk the Witches' Road. During the Divination Witch Trial, Calderu began experiencing more gaps than usual that led her to speak with her late Maestra during her first lesson. Coming to terms with her powers, she successfully completed the trial but sacrificed herself to defeat the Salem Seven by inversing gravity in the trial room, impaling them and herself on the ceiling's swords.
