- "I know what I want. I know what kind of god I need to be. For you. For all of us."
- ―Loki to Mobius M. Mobius and Sylvie Laufeydottir[src]
The Liberation of the Multiverse was an attack on the Temporal Loom led by Loki in order to free the Multiverse from the constraints of the Sacred Timeline as well as the end of Sylvie Laufeydottir's lifelong quest to release the Multiverse.
Background[]
This section requires expansion |
Loki, seeing that the Temporal Loom was about to explode and kill everyone in the TVA and the Multiverse, made the final sacrifice to destroy the Temporal Loom and replace it with himself.[1]
Liberation[]
He looks at his friends and gives a sad smile. He then goes down into the airlock and closes the door behind him. Mobius and Sylvie chase after him, but since the door is closed, they can't get to him. Loki turns around to face them. He tells them he knows what kind of god he needs to be. He then turns to the airlock door and opens it using telekinesis and walks out onto the gangway with no protection. He then uses telekinesis to pull the Temporal Loom apart and in doing so, killed the whole Multiverse. He then uses his magic to revive the multiverse. While using his magic, a rift opens up leading him to the Citadel at the End of Time. He looks back at his friends one more time before walking up an invisible staircase leading up to the rift. He enters the rift and enters the Citadel at the End of Time, pulling the whole multiverse in his hands and on his back. He then sits down on his throne and becomes the new Temporal Loom.[1]
Aftermath[]
Loki now sits on his throne, realizing his glorious purpose was to be the god of the Multiverse, and will continue to sit on his throne until the end of days.[1]
