The Liberation of the Blood Hotel Patients was a mass killing of all of the Blood members working at their Portland hotel, orchestrated by Basar, as well as a liberation of all of the demons being held there.
Background[]
As part of a war against demons, a group of humans called the Blood began establishing hotels in several places, including one in Portland, Oregon. At the hotels, people who had become possessed were brought in and put into comas, so that the demon possessing them would be trapped in their body until they died.[3]
Kthara sent three people to free Basar from his imprisonment by the Keeper. Basar then possessed Keith Spivey and killed the other two people.[4] He went on a killing spree, at one point finding a fraternity house and slaughtering all of its members.[5] Meanwhile, the demon Raum possessed Joshua Crow and was brought to the Blood Hotel in Portland after attacking Gabriella Rosetti.[3]
Liberation[]
As part of his plan to free Kthara from Saint Teresa Center for Mental Health, Basar went to the Blood Hotel and slaughtered all of the Blood members present, taking the patients. This freed the demons, except for Raum, whom Basar needed to attack Saint Teresa's. Basar awoke Raum from his coma and the two left together to go to Saint Teresa's.[6]
Aftermath[]
Gabriella Rosetti told Daimon Helstrom about the Blood Hotel, intending to show him the patients. However, when they arrived, they found that everyone present had been killed.[6] They cleaned out the hotel and covered the bodies. Basar and Raum went to the Spivey Residence to begin their plan, retrieving Keith Spivey's ID badge and kidnapping Jolene Spivey. The demons left the one possessing Yessenia Flores behind at the hotel, and Helstrom and Rosetti exorcised her as she died. Basar then used his army to free Kthara while Naren and the demon possessing Brian went after Helstrom and Rosetti.[2]
