Lerato was a member of the Black Widows and the caretaker of Taskmaster until 2016.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
As a young girl, Lerato was taken from her family when Dreykov selected her to become an assassin for the Red Room.[1]
Activating Taskmaster[]
In 2016, Lerato was sent into Taskmaster's room in order to tell her that she had a mission. Lerato entered Taskmaster's room and placed a chip in the back of her helmet. She then circled in front of Taskmaster and trace her fingers across the mouth of the helmet, telling Taskmaster to smile.[1]
Freedom[]
In the Red Room, Lerato was forced to fight an intruder, Natasha Romanoff. Lerato and the other Black Widows successfully overpowered Romanoff until Yelena Belova threw a grenade with Red Dust. This freed Lerato and the others from their mind control. The widows got out of the Red Room through an aircraft as the Red Room collapsed. They found Yelena Belova, Melina Vostokoff, Alexei Shostakov, and Romanoff on the ground. Lerato rushed to Taskmaster, Antonia Dreykov, who was no longer mind controlled. Along with Belova, they took Antonia Dreykov away.[1]
