"And then next thing I know, my inflammable suit with a nine hundred degree threshold is on fire."
Eugene Patilio to She-Hulk[src]

Leapfrog's Suit is a suit created by Luke Jacobson for Eugene Patilio to use when operating as Leapfrog.

History[]

First Suit[]

"Mr. Patilio, what kind of fuel did you use in your boosters?"
"Jet fuel."

Leapfrog enters the scene with his suit

In 2025, Luke Jacobson designed a custom suit for Eugene Patilio to began to operate as a frog-themed vigilante named Leapfrog. Patilio later went to Jacobson's workshop to pick up his suit.[1] Equipped with his new suit, Leapfrog used it to intercept an ongoing robbery outside Monahan's Wholesale.

Announcing that he was the "guard frog", Leapfrog tried to attack them and the robbers questioned what his name even meant, which caused Leapfrog to address his frog-themed suit and name. Leapfrog then spun on the ground, stomping on a robber's foot while mockingly laughing at his pain. However, both robbers retaliated by punching and kicking Leapfrog while he was still on the ground laughing.

Outnumbered, Leapfrog tried to retreat by using his suit's built-in boosters. As Leapfrog flew away shouting his catchphrase, the boosters on his suit suddenly malfunctioned and Leapfrog plummeted to the ground. Leapfrog ripped off his helmet and started screaming in pain as his legs caught fire while the robbers fled the scene. Patilio desired compensation for his suit's malfunction and any injuries he sustained from it, approached She-Hulk to be his attorney, eager to have a Hulk representing him.

She-Hulk agreed that it seemed like a clear case of manufacturer's defect, to Patilio's delight. She-Hulk asked Patilio who manufactured his suit, which Patilio revealed to be Luke Jacobson. The next day, the suit was brought by Patilio to the Los Angeles Metropolitan Courthouse as a proof. Matt Murdock, Luke's lawyer, smelled that Patilio had used jet fuel, as Patilio had brought his boots inside.

Patilio then proudly exclaimed that he had used jet fuel, to which Jacobson immediately stated that he had written instructions in the manual and that jet fuel was not in them, leading Price to dismiss the case as Jacobson had been proven to not be culpable in the malfunction if Patilio had ignored his given warnings.[2]

Second Suit[]

"For version two, we gotta go all out. I'm talking about bulletproof shields, fancy AI with a British voice that talks to you. Oh, snap! And some of those poison darts, like the tree frogs."

That night, Patilio kidnapped Luke Jacobson and brought him to the Lily Pad so he could be forced to make him a new suit. While Jacobson was designing the second version of the suit, Patilio returned to the Lily Pad and suggested giving the suit bulletproof shields, an AI operator, and some poison darts shooters, to which Jacobson answered that the color green was ugly, hurting Patilio's feelings.

Believing that Daredevil would follow him, Patilio suited up and ordered Jacobson to continue working on his new suit. Shortly, Daredevil arrived, and when one of his men hit She-Hulk, Patilio donned his helmet and decided to depart. He jumped out of the window, yelling his catchphrase, only to land on the street, breaking his legs. The Los Angeles Police Department then arrived and paramedics helped him onto a stretcher with his suit still on.[2]

Capabilities[]

Leapfrog's suit was used by Patilio and provided him with a variety of weapons.

Leapfrog's suit granted the wearer the ability to fly in the form of built-in boosters. However, the boosters malfunctioned when they were fueled with jet fuel, which Luke Jacobson specifically advised Leapfrog not to do.
