Laura Hayward is a student at the Ohio University and the sister of Centipede soldier Brian Hayward.

While trying to locate her brother Brian, Agents Phil Coulson and Grant Ward approached Laura Hayward to figure out her knowledge of Brian's location.
Ward posed as a member of the Ohio state gaming commission to approach Laura and ask about Brian. Not believing the story, Laura lied and told him that she had not had any contact with her brother since he returned from Afghanistan.
When Agent Ward left, Laura called her brother to inform about Ward's story, thus alerting him that someone was trying to locate him.[1]
