- "This is Lamentis-1."
"I don't know what that means!"
"The moon that planet is about to crash into and destroy." - ―Sylvie Laufeydottir and Loki[src]
Lamentis-1 is a moon that was destroyed in 2077.
History[]
Destruction of Lamentis-1[]
- "Of all the apocalypses saved on that TemPad, this is the worst! No one makes it off here!"
- ―Sylvie Laufeydottir to Loki[src]
In 2077, Lamentis-1 was rained down upon by meteor showers of a neighboring planet when it fell inbound to a planetary collision. As this occurred, seismic tremors plagued Lamentis-1. Evacuation efforts fell futile once the planet collided with Lamentis-1 and blew up, resulting in the deaths of the inhabiting Lamentians. It becomes one of the most disastrous apocalyptic events recorded on the TemPad by the Time Variance Authority that year.[1]
Alternate Universes[]
Visited by Loki and Sylvie[]
- "Things down here are only gonna get worse. More meteors, gravity quakes, and of course, the collapse of society in the face of annihilation."
- ―Sylvie Laufeydottir to Loki[src]
In an alternate 2077, the moon was hours away from destruction due to a planet being about to crash into it when Loki and Sylvie Laufeydottir arrived on it through a Timedoor. The two, trying to recharge their TemPad and escape, boarded a train to reach the Ark, a spaceship set to evacuate the wealthy off of Lamentis-1, but were thrown off, breaking the TemPad and leaving them with no escape. Loki then made a plan to steal the Ark and flee on it, which Sylvie went along with. However, when they made it to Shuroo, they saw the Ark destroyed by a meteor, leaving them with no escape.[1]
Loki and Sylvie exited Shuroo and sat down on the outskirts of the city, where they watched meteors from the planet crash into Lamentis-1. As the planet began to crash into the moon, two Timedoors appeared and Loki and Sylvie escaped through them.[2]
