- "Weird kid. Drew me a picture of a blue lady juggling someone's balls."
"Pretty sure they were her balls." - ―Tony Caine and Quake[src]
The Kree Spheres were two silver orbs which could be remotely controlled by the mind of their user to be used as violent projectiles. It was the weapon of choice of the Kree warrior Sinara.
History[]
Sinara's Weapons[]
Sinara used Kree Spheres as her main weapon. When not utilizing them in combat, she had the habit to keep them in one hand and rub them against each other, adding to her intimidating appearance.
Many inhabitants of the Lighthouse fell under Sinara's spheres. Among this list of victims were a Human who hurt Reese, a servant of Kasius, while fighting with someone else over food. As the man fled, Sinara sent her spheres chasing him and bashed his skull, instantly killing him. Reese himself later fell under the Kree Spheres as Kasius, who could not bear that his servant was marked by a scar on his forehead, ordered him to be executed by Sinara.[1] Sinara also threatened to use them against Jemma Simmons when she tried to oppose to Abby being sold to Basha.[2]
Sinara used her spheres during her duel against Melinda May, although she was unable to actually strike May with them as the spheres were repelled by May's Kree Battle Axe. Sinara reclaimed her spheres after she defeated May, but chose not to kill her.[3] She later used the spheres to execute Ben after Kasius discovered that he had lied to him.
Sinara later got the opportunity to use her spheres against another agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Daisy Johnson, against whom she was pitted in Kasius' arena. As soon as the fight began, Sinara attacked Johnson with her spheres, but Johnson avoided them and retaliated, causing Sinara to temporarily lose them. However, she reclaimed them and managed to violently hit Johnson on the shoulder with one sphere. However, despite Johnson being brutally thrown away, the strike did not kill her. Sinara sent another sphere at Johnson, but she blocked it with her Inhuman ability and projected it back to Sinara, who avoided the hit.[4]
Humans and Inhumans were not the only ones to fall under the Kree Spheres. During a hunt of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, while Sinara temporarily teamed up with Faulnak Kasius's warrior Maston-Dar, she waited until he destroyed the wall of the Salvage where S.H.I.E.L.D. had retreated to brutally kill him with her spheres, plunging them deep into his back.[5]
Capabilities[]
The Kree Spheres were a weapon of incredible efficiency despite their simple design. They could be controlled by their user by the simple power of their mind, as Sinara demonstrated by making them fly with little effort, barely moving her head or her fingers when projecting them. Once thrown at full speed, the spheres were able to penetrate their target's body, where they caused considerable damage. Even Kree warriors, who were notoriously more durable than Humans, could be easily taken down by these orbs. The spheres also had an extensive range, as Sinara was able to control them over several meters, even after losing sight of them, when she used them to kill the man who had wounded Reese.
