Isolation[]

Korg was a bartender at Howard's Casino. One day, Ronan the Accuser attacked Xandar, leading Nova Prime to close the Planetary Shield, locking everyone on Xandar for fifty years. As five years went on, the casino became popular.^[1]

Helping Nebula[]

"Oh, that's an old city-wide mainframe core. It's a unit B-42, I believe. I didn't think there were many of those left."

One day, Nebula walked into Howard's Casino and approached Korg, asking where Howard the Duck was. Korg directed her upstairs, but cautioned Nebula, saying he was about to win. Korg later prepard drinks and gave it to Nebula and Howard, taking notice of the holographic scematic displayed in front of them. Korg casually remarked how it was a Unit B-42 Mainframe Core, shocking Howard at the surprising intelligence.

Korg remarked that he was not just a pretty face before listing off things it could be used for: sanitation department, metadata, inpaid parking tickets, rush hour statistics, source codes for the shield and a kitchen sink. Howard stopped him, saying to go back one. Korg repeated the fact of the unpaid parking tickets before repeating what Howard wanted to hear: the source codes.^[1]

Fixing Nebula[]

Later, Korg was playing rock, paper, scissors with Groot and Miek. Korg threw down paper, only to say it was rock paper that would beat everyone. Suddenly, Nebula returned, broken and injured. She asked for a rink before passing out. Korg went on to patch her up with welding and wiring knowledge. Nebula then used their help in preparing to fight Irani Rael and stop her from opening the Planetary Shield.^[1]

The Bad Guys[]

"Oh, sorry. Uh. just one moment of your time, please? Aren't you a big deal baddie?"

Korg, Nebula, Howard the Duck, Groot and Miek arrived at the Nova Corps Headquarters just as the Planetary Shield was opening. Luckily, Nebula rigged the codes, allowing it to close prematurely, crushing the Dark Aster and thus, Ronan the Accuser. Irani Rael then ordered the Nova Corps and Yon-Rogg to kill everyone.

Korg approaches and — Korg approaches Yon-Rogg and Garthan Saal

As the commotion went on, Korg found Yon-Rogg and Garthan Saal crawling on the ground, trying to find protection. Korg stood in front of them, asking who the bad guy was. Yon-Rogg chuckled and said it was Saal. Korg then picked them both up and repeatedly slammed them into the ground as well as each other, killing the men. Korg then remarked how he should have stretched. In the end, Nebula defeated the enemy and opened the shield for good.^[1]
