The Kidnapping of Radovan Bernivig was an infiltration of Metro-General Hospital by The Hand in order to abduct Radovan Bernivig, who created the Steel Serpent drug.
Background
Danny Rand and Colleen Wing managed to carry a wounded Radovan Bernivig back to Chikara Dojo, where they find that he is suffering from a gunshot wound and becoming delirious. With some medical aid from Claire Temple, they are told that he is severely injured and in need of serious attention at a hospital. They first rejected this, in fear of the Hand reclaiming him.
Later, when his condition proves to be too much for even Temple to handle, Wing and her brought him into Metro-General Hospital. With arrangement from Shirley Benson, he was admitted as "John Doe."[5]
Kidnapping
When Temple asked about the condition of Radovan Bernivig, she and Wing are informed that they had never admitted. The two quickly searched and learned that two Hand soldiers disgusted as nurses took an elevator to the parking garage. After Wing takes down one, she took an adjust elevator while Temple raced down a stairwell that lead outside, where she found an active ambulance. Grabbing a nearby fire extinguisher, she ran and banged the tool against the driver's head, knocking him unconscious. The two checked the back of the vehicle, revealing it to be empty, leading them to believe this to be a decoy.[5]
Aftermath
Rand and Wing allied with Hai-Qing Yang and the Yangsi Gonshi to attack the Hand. In a warehouse, they discovered that Bernivig had died.[6]
