"Wait, why were you attacking my client?"
"Leapfrog is the bad guy here. He kidnapped Luke Jacobson. He's holding him hostage."
Jennifer Walters and Daredevil[src]

The Kidnapping of Luke Jacobson was an abduction of Luke Jacobson, carried out by Leapfrog after he lost a trial to him. Leapfrog wanted to force Jacobson to be his personal tailor, however, Jacobson was rescued by Daredevil and She-Hulk.

Background[]

"If the plaintiff ignored the manufacturer's explicit instructions, then the defendant is absolved of all liability. I'm dismissing this case."
Price[src]

Aspired to become a vigilante, Eugene Patilio hired Luke Jacobson to create a suit for him, so he could become a superhero, known as Leapfrog.[2] Equipped with his new suit, Patilio attempted to stop a robbery, but he was unable to fight the robbers and failed. When he tried to escape, Patilio's suit boosters malfunctioned and caused Patilio to injure himself. Patilio contacted Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway and consulted with She-Hulk to get file a lawsuit against Jacobson for defective suit and get his compensation. She-Hulk did not want to get on Jacobson's bad side, since he was the only tailor in Los Angeles who could make outfits for her, but Holden Holliway insisted, since Patilio's father was an important client.

She-Hulk tried to resolve the situation with Jacobson outside the court, but Jacobson got furious on the assumption that he would make a defective suit and refused to make a dress for her. On the trial, Jacobson was represented by Matt Murdock who immediately got Price to reject bringing out Jacobson's client list to ensure their privacy. Murdock then discovered that Patilio used jet fuel for his suit, which was against Jacobson's instructions, so Price dismissed all of the plaintiff's accusations.[3]

Eugene Patilio kidnapped Luke Jacobson, so he could force him to be his personal tailor, and attempted to bring him to the Lily Pad. However, Patilio's car was attacked by Daredevil, so he contacted She-Hulk and asked her for help to deal with the attacker. Unaware of the situation, She-Hulk confronted Daredevil, but she was unable to land a single hit on him, even when she made the floor collapse under him. The fight moved to the streets, but Daredevil continued to evade She-Hulk's attacks, prompting her to use a thunderclap, which affected Daredevil badly due to his enhanced hearing.

She-Hulk then unmasked Daredevil and discovered that he was Matt Murdock, which greatly confused her, as he thought that Murdock was faking his blindness. Daredevil he assured her he was actually blind and used his enhanced senses to see. Walters then questioned why he was attacked Patilio, so Murdock revealed that he had kidnapped Jacobson. They then bickered about their fight and after clearing things up, Daredevil and She-Hulk joined forces tor rescue Jacobson from Patilio.[3]

"I'll sneak in and take out the goons in the back. It'll take me fifteen seconds for each one. So, wait here until I've gotten all ten."
"I'm not gonna sit here for half an hour while you pick off goons one by one."

Daredevil and She-Hulk tracked Leapfrog down to the Lily Pad where he and his Leap Squad were holding Luke Jacobson hostage. Daredevil suggested that he would sneak in and take out the goons in the back but She-Hulk did not want to wait and instead suggested a more direct approach. Daredevil pointed out that they had weapons, but She-Hulk insisted that she had an indestructable skin, so smashing her way in would not be an issue. Regardless, Daredevil insisted that stealth was a right way to proceed and sneaked into the building without waiting for She-Hulk's approval.

Inside the hallway of the Lily Pad, Daredevil fought the Leap Squad members before he got surrounded. As Daredevil prepared for a fight, She-Hulk just smashed the roof and took out all the goons by herself. Breaking into the main room, Daredevil proceeded to fight the goons, while She-Hulk liberated Jacobson and tried to reason with Leapfrog. She suggested stopping before it was too late, so she could possibly help him avoid further legal issues with an abduction. As She-Hulk got distracted by one of the goons, Leapfrog attempted to escape through the window but he only fell on the ground and injured himself. Eventually, the Los Angeles Police Department arrived at the scene and apprehended Patilio with his subordinates.[3]

As Luke Jacobson was rescued, She-Hulk approached him to incline about her dress for the gala again, and Jacobson did agree to make it. When the police arrived, Walters spoke to Daredevil and asked if he was going to give a statement to the police, but he replied that he was not the type to stick around to talk to authorities. Walters asked Daredevil when he would be returning to New York City, and he responded that he would be returning the next day. Daredevil then offered to take Walters on a date the next time he was in town, but Walters suggested they just sleep together. The pair then went to Jennifer Walters' Apartment, where they spent the night together.[3]
