The Kidnapping of Lia Dewan was a successful attempt by Brigid O'Reilly/Mayhem and Tandy Bowen to bring Lia Dewan to St. Theresa's Church.
Background[]
While fleeing their destroyed sex ring, Lia Dewan and Andre Deschaine stole a car together, and Deschaine insisted on driving, despite his increasingly painful migraines.
While driving, Deschaine's migraines began to worsen, and Dewan decided to allow him to use her despair to cure his migraine. However, this overwhelmed Dewan, causing her to enter a coma. Deschaine left her on the side of the road and drove away.[2]
The police later found Dewan's body, and Brigid O'Reilly/Mayhem, who had recently recombined, came across her body along with Tandy Bowen, after O'Reilly/Mayhem heard about the police finding the body.[3]

When Tandy Bowen and Brigid O'Reilly/Mayhem realized that Dewan was similar to the other girls they had noticed, and an officer told them that Lia Dewan had no purse or wallet on her, suggesting somebody must have been missing her. Bowen noticed that the officers were prepared to transport Dewan in an ambulance, and explained that she was kidnapped by someone who used ambulance and that they would be a trigger for her. Bowen convinced the officer to allow Bowen and O'Reilly/Mayhem to take Dewan, and Bowen said that she planned on killing Dewan, surprising both of them. They brought Dewan to St. Theresa's Church.[3]
Aftermath[]
With Tyrone Johnson's help, Tandy Bowen entered Lia Dewan's mind, trying to learn about Andre Deschaine's whereabouts. Deschaine joined them, threatening to use his newfound godlike abilities to drain the hope out of the entire city of New Orleans.
Johnson, tired of working to fight Deschaine, kidnapped the leaders of the Money Hustle Gang and the Uptown Block Kings, asking for help finding Deschaine.[3]
