Khonshu's Temple is the temple of the Egyptian god Khonshu, where the Moon Knight suit originates from.
History[]
Having been mortally wounded after the betrayal of his commander Raul Bushman, Marc Spector was able to drag himself to the temple of Khonshu in the Egyptian desert. Spector lied on the steps in front of a monumental statue of Khonshu and awaited his death, until he heard the voice of Khonshu offering to save his life in exchange for becoming his Avatar. Spector hesitated for a while, but when Khonshu reiterated his question, he accepted. Khonshu then appeared in the flesh inside the temple and turned Spector into his new Moon Knight, allowing Spector to leave the temple and exact Khonshu's revenge upon the evildoers.[1]
