Karachi Station is a historic railway station in Karachi, Pakistan.
History[]
Established[]
Karachi Station was established in 1898 as a railway station for its citizens.[1]
Partition of India[]
In 1947, following deliberations with Viceroy Louis Mountbatten and Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the British decided to divide India into two nations – India and Pakistan. The province of Sindh, which included Karachi Station, became a part of the newly formed Pakistani territory. During the Partition, many Indian Muslims migrated to Karachi using trains and arrived at Karachi Station. Among those who were able to reach Karachi were Hasan and his daughter Sana.[1]
Celebrating Ant-Man[]
The Ant-Man mural inside the station
By 2025, Karachi Station was one of the places chosen by the artist Saira Hussain to host one of her street art pieces from the Karachi X Avengers Series. The wall painting featured Ant-Man, who was shown in a sequence of size augmentation, with a quote stating "You can start small and still be larger than life". The painting was found by Kamala Khan during her stay in Karachi.[1]
Duel with Red Dagger[]
Kamala Khan and Red Dagger duel in the station
As Kamala Khan was observing the street art by Saira Hussain in a part of the station that was being renovated, she was attacked by Red Dagger who threw a dagger into the wall next to her. Red Dagger then showed himself and engaged in a duel against Khan, where she used her powers to defend herself, and their fight caused some damage on a closed beverage store. Khan then tried to run away, but Red Dagger easily caught up with her, although Khan was able to make him fall onto the floor. As they were noticed by two security officers, Red Dagger advised Khan to leave the station since he had identified that she was not a Clandestine, and thus not one of his enemies.[1]
