Kaminsky is a HYDRA operative who worked undercover inside S.H.I.E.L.D., and served under John Garrett.

Kaminsky was a helicopter pilot for S.H.I.E.L.D. assigned to the Cube when he defected to HYDRA and joined John Garrett at the Barbershop Headquarters. When he reported to Garrett, he gave the HYDRA salute, to the embarrassment of Garrett. When Grant Ward and Garrett had difficulty entering the Fridge owing to the guards' doubts about their loyalty, Kaminsky's S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicopter arrived and began firing on them, so that the guards would believe them and allow them to enter.

Kaminsky was one of HYDRA soldiers that infiltrated the Fridge to retrieve secret S.H.I.E.L.D. weaponry under the orders of Garrett. When Garrett's organs failed, Kaminsky helped Ward carry Garrett to a table and escorted Raina from the room.

When Coulson's Team infiltrated the Barbershop Headquarters, Kaminsky awaited them, carrying the Berserker Staff. Melinda May quickly relieved Kaminsky of the staff as a battle began between Coulson's team and the Centipede Soldiers. Kaminsky proved no match for the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents as May used the staff to destroy the base and bury him.

• Berserker Staff Empowerment: Kaminsky was given the Berserker Staff by John Garrett. This enhanced his strength, but heightened his anger as well.
  • Superhuman Strength: The Berserker Staff temporarily gave Kaminsky strength beyond human levels. He used it to fight Melinda May at the Barbershop Headquarters.

Abilities

• Spy: Kaminsky was able to go undercover at S.H.I.E.L.D. without giving away that he was actually a HYDRA agent until the HYDRA Uprising.
