Kai-El[1][2] is an Orgosentry stationed at the Orgoscope.
Biography[]
Infiltration into the Orgoscope[]
In 2026, Kai-El worked as an Orgosentry at the Orgoscope, having been hired there as his uncle was the boss. He talked to Master Karja about a new vehicle he had ridden. Karja asked if Kai-El knew what he was talking about, and although Kai-El did not, he agreed with Karja. Karja then revealed that he had made up a detail of the story, so Kai-El said that he believed Karja to have said something else. They continued to argue until Karja received a call from Kwol, alerting him to a breach in the white wing of the Orgoscope. Kai-El then heard Kwol report an anomaly in the decompression chamber and ask Karja, Kai-El, and two other Orgosentries to investigate it.
Kai-El gets insulted by Karja
The four walked toward the door, and Kai-El activated the weapon in his Orgosentry Suit. Kai-El and the others raised their weapons as they entered the decompression chamber and found five people inside. One of them yelled at Kai-El and the others for entering the room without safety precautions after a hole appeared in the wall. Another joined in the anger, and a third did as well, though he got overly specific in describing the details of their uniforms, complaining that his did not match his complexion. The first excused the third's actions, claiming that he was the boss' nephew and was not smart. Karja related to the man, describing Kai-El as being the same while he expressed love for another Orgosentry there. Karja looked at Kai-El with disdain and told the other employees that all of Kai-El's actions made him crazy. Kai-El again claimed he misheard Karja, who simply told Kai-El to be quiet and stated his desire to kill Kai-El. Karja deemed the situation clear and ordered everyone to leave, including Kai-El.
Kai-El bounces off the floor
The alarms went off as the intruders turned out to be the Guardians of the Galaxy, and a brawl broke out as Mantis and Drax the Destroyer started a fight with the Orgosentries. Kai-El participated in the fight and held Drax, Mantis, and Nebula at gun point as they were forced to surrender. However, Star-Lord suddenly made their armors cause them to fly around the room and crash into each other. Kai-El hit the floor as the Guardians approached their ship to escape.[3]

- Marksman: Kai-El was trained to use a weapon on his Orgosentry Suit. He aimed the weapon at the Guardians of the Galaxy.

- Orgosentry Suit: As an Orgosentry, Kai-El wore a an Orgosentry Suit while on duty. He used the weapon in the suit against the Guardians of the Galaxy, but Star-Lord hacked it and caused him to fly around uncontrollably.

- Orgoscope: Kai-El worked as an Orgosentry on the Orgoscope, defending it. He attempted to make friends with Karja, who consistently expressed disdain for him. He defended the Orgoscope from the Guardians of the Galaxy, although he did so unsuccessfully.

Behind the Scenes[]
- Kai-El was named by Nathan Fillion in an attempt to make the name of the actor portraying him, Kyle Mclean, sound "spacier." He was inspired by Kryptonian names and claimed that Kai-El married a Kryptonian to gain the name, explaining his lack of Kryptonian powers.[1][2]
